ceebmoj - 7/12/04 at 08:24 AM

Hi all,

I posted in a thread last night witch this morning seams to have disappeared I have tried searching for both my past post and the thread title with no joy. Has this thread been removed? Witch I don’t think happens hear. Or are we losing threads in to the either witch is more worrying.

yup, it seems to have been removed. ah well...

maybe rorty decided to remove it. whoever starts a thread can delete it at will.

ceebmoj - 7/12/04 at 08:46 AM

You learn something new every day I was not a where that you could delete threads even the ones you started unless you where a mod or had such privileges.

JoelP - 7/12/04 at 08:49 AM

just click edit, select the box that says 'delete this post', and if yours is the first post in the thread, the entire lot goes up in smoke.

Peteff - 7/12/04 at 09:06 AM

Thank you Rorty.

stephen_gusterson - 7/12/04 at 10:51 AM

removing the first post in a thread trashes the whole thing.

That ones gone, as has the 'kill yourself with a car battery' warning advice one........

I removed it because Peteff was getting a bit nasty, not for any other reason.

phelpsa - 8/12/04 at 07:27 AM

I which case you could destroy pretty much any thread that peteff has posted in

Peteff - 8/12/04 at 10:15 AM

I wasn't being nasty, just pointing out that not everyone has perfect grammar or spelling. I didn't embarrass anyone into thinking they had to explain why they couldn't spell and I didn't call anyone. As I recall " The tw@ts know who they are" was in your post.

ceebmoj - 8/12/04 at 10:29 AM

The only reason I asked was because I posted a reply to a thread and was interested to see what replies where made as I do with any other thread. I got a couple of u2u about it so I had just wanted to check and see what had been said.

Any way on the other hand I made a polo on the lathe last night not that impressive I know but as a first thing I have ever turned I was impressed.

You can buy them in tubes, you know...

You can buy the holes seperately now as well

Rorty - 8/12/04 at 11:59 AM

ceebmoj, I made no bad reference to you. I was giving off about a few people who intentionally write rubbish because they're too ill-mannered or lazy (or both) to make an effort.
I received a U2U and several emails from people who were equally fed up with the same few individuals, and who actually named them too.

Hi Blake,
Long time no see, old mate!
How are you ?
regards
Dave

EDIT:
PS. I think I've still got the mains power lead from your DSO oscilloscope ! Do you want it back? U2U an address and I'll post it, unless you can drop by.

Isn't that the hole truth...

Dave, I have found another lead I had forgotten that I left it behind. In fact I found the new lead attached to my new scope so if some one wants a an old Digital capture scope £100 ono

Other than that I am doing well. New job and making slow progress on the car.
