little bit frustrated with some of the giant photos being posted here. hard to figure whats what when I have to scroll around and can't see the whole image in one shot.

found this great re-sizer. will convert between formats and increase/decrease size of images. takes an instant. and its free (with a six image at a time limit).

and download the image zoom extension. You can resize pictures to view them in the right click menu. So much easier.

if you're running windows XP

there's an image resize powertoy which allows you to right click images and resize them.

Can it be arranged for people who upload G I A N T images to be stoned to death?

I'm one of those people who deserves the severe talking to with lots of sarcasm and finger wagging. I'm not someone who is completely hopeless when it comes to computers, but I try my best! Please don't get too angry with us!

I have XP, so if it is possible, could someone please explain how I can re-size my pictures.

Open your picture in it and then in the image menu pick 'size image'. Make sure the 'maintain aspect ratio' is ticked in the box that comes up then change it to a decent size like 500pixels or whatever you want then go into the file menu and export it to your desktop or wherever you send your pictures as a .jpg. Then close the program, you don't need to save the picture as it will be where you sent it to as whatever you exported it as. You can upload the picture from there.
