I'm surprised it made it to the 'Airfield'

Loved the bloke doing the welding with his eyes shut

800kg weight....... That's one big beast......a Cub J3 weighs around 350kg empty.....

Smoking Frog - 21/2/16 at 12:44 PM

Seems like it's back to the drawing board for this chap. Looks a bit more than 800kg. Always fancied building a gyrocopter myself but not good with heights.

This blokey spent over £3000 building that?! He's hidden that well.

Nothing to be scared about - it will never taxi never mind take off - the only real danger is it falling off the truck onto someone, or the prop flying off and killing someone or some poor person walking into the prop because they don't realise the danger.

Has he never seen a photo of a real plane?! Looks like he took inspiration form loonytoons

Toprivetguns - 21/2/16 at 06:04 PM

Macgyver in the making. Couple of Russian bazookas, bingo takeoff !

SPYDER - 21/2/16 at 06:45 PM

Apparently, he has "no background in aviation " but he is shrewd enough to realise that all it needs is new wheels.
Mmmmm...

Darwin award contender
