Hello all,
As mentioned after suffering a head injury I now find myself with epilepsy. I've suffered a few fits and am currently unable to drive because of
it. Far from good, but I've taken the approach of telling people who I have to say have been glad to know about it and what to do should I
suffer a fit when in their company.
Recently I spoke to an old school friend who has a not dissimilar condition, but takes part in triathlons as a means of keeping fit. He uses
something called a Taggisar sticker with a 2D barcode on it. He has the stickers on his clothing and bikes and should he be incapacitated knows that
first aiders can read the 2D barcode with a smart phone and get his medical notes and an emergency contact person. He kindly provided me with some
stickers and I've been online to add the necessary data. Very kind of him to help me and I have to say it's inspired me to go further
afield on my bike in the knowledge that should someone find me there's a means of identifying me and helping me.
I'm impressed and pleased for the help

A friend of mine is a type 1 diabetic and has a tattoo saying so on his wrist! I know a lot of bikers have their blood group tattoo'd under their watch and paramedics are told to look there if they are called to a bike incident.
Interesting approach - I already have tatoos and not sure about having more, but I can see the benefit.
Hi Nick,
I have seen your various posts on this. I am familiar with the epilepsy/driving issues as my colleague/roomate did many medical appeals. Stay
positive. I think you are being very sensible getting it out there and working out how to work around the issues.
On the petrol head front ..... why not kill some time with a long slow build or something like rally co-driving or marshalling or something similar
that keeps you in the loop?
All the very best with this.

Thanks for your encouragement chaps it's much appreciated by me! I must admit I've been through anger and disappointment with it, which
hasn't helped me or those around me. I now have found myself having to live with it and find ways to deal with the issues. I don't like
having to get the bus and the train, but have found and got bus and rail cards making it cheaper and/or free so it's not all bad. I'm also
considering another kit build and have a particular one in mind as well. Maybe I won't get to drive it, but for me it's more about building
than driving anyway.
Onwards and upwards as they say
Do tell more, which kit and what mechanics.
There are some interesting kits on the market at the moment, ones I particularly like are :
MEV Replicar - I would look to try and fit a lexus 2.0l straight six from the IS200 to make it slightly more like the original, would go for a double
bubble rear as well and bond in the doors for a more racer look, as for colour I like the light green from the Fezzer 250GTO race car
Sylva J15/vectis is a very pretty car, have a search on there for jenko and his blue one, very nice - hints of the lotus 11 about it, as for engine
Puma 1.7 suits it well but the new 1.6T ecoboost would be fun
As for a Seven - I like the MNR take on it but would really like to see a TVR AJP8 engine in one (deep pockets needed)
Finally, the Spire GT would be interesting with some sort of Audi running gear, possibly the 4.2 V8 with a 2wd transaxle
All the best and you know you want that tattoo !

Hi Nick A woman at work has a daughter who has epilepsy, they both do a long walk each summer to raise funds for research, I will pass on the links
from your initial post as it may be useful for them, good luck with your health and car build
