after many months of searching and covering god knows how many miles i've finaly found me new car! should finally pick it up in a couple of weeks
once private plates been transfered etc
it's totally faultless, never seen winter in it's life, has 2 huge ringbinder folders full of history including a fully photo documented
complete strip, respray and rebuild done in 1999, it's only covered not even 5k sinse 1998. i spent 3 hours viewing it yesterday trying my
hardest to pick fault with it but i just couldn't find anything to go against it!
i'll be getting it with the original latice alloys fitted which still have the original tyres from factory as the wheels were taken off the car
as soon as the original owner bought it home and they have done less than 200miles in thier life!
it wasn't cheap and i'm sure some of you would think i paid over the odds for it (as i've been told certain members of other boards
have been saying everywhere but to my face to make a change) but any real enthusiast i've spoken to about it rekons i got a good deal out of it.
it's currently running stage 2 tune, 803 greens, ahmed bayjoo 330bhp chip, -31 actuator etc etc etc running around 21psi of boost so should be
pushing 310+bhp but what ever it's running it's bloody fast enough for me! i'm getting every single standard part with the car that has
been taken off inc the original passenger front window that the guy changed as it came with a fault in the security stamp on it!!!! i got a screen
full of spec if anyones interested i'll post it but i may have bored you all already
it's gonna be painfull but i'm gonna have to use it for the rest of winter and through the summer then it's gonna be put in the new
garage and i'll buy a old knacker to use from then.
proper crimbo
Thats one hell of a good donor

lmao! 6k for a donor.............maybe not
Very nice,
See you over at passionford or interford then
Cheers
G
Why was it stripped, resprayed and rebuilt. It surely can't have needed it. It's got to be an investment, there can't be that many of them running round in original condition or better. A builder near us had one and a week never went by when someone didn't try to steal it. It finally went off his drive by way of a transporter as it was immobilised and everything. Nothing was heard of it after.

price paid is completely elephant to other people, as long as you're happy with the deal, thats my way of looking at it.
lets face it, you're probably not going to lose money on it. would have gone for a 4x4 version myself though, but you're right, too many
have met harder objects than themselves.
Looks very nice though, but inspect the original tyres before you use them, as there's a good chance they have perished over the years and could
be a bit 'interesting' unless they were stored correctly (V. low PSI, wrapped and in darkness)
Well done.
Kelvin
a 4x4 was my first choice without a doubt but after looking at a fair few of em described as concourse and priced upwards of 7k and finding nowt but
knackers every time i decided to widen my search. bit nervous of the traction but then it's only as powerfull as my right foot i guess.
as for the wheels/tyres, they have been stored in a air conditioned garage covered up etc etc.....they won't be onthe car for long though
Car looks great!
What about the Indy? How far off?
Leigh.
the indy isn't a million miles off being done, just lost the love a little at the moment cos it's so bloody cold in the garage!
very nice, if your gonna break it ill have the lsd......cheers

think there is a lsd from one of these for sale either on passionford or rsoc but can't remember which. seem to remember it was only a couple of
hundred quid too with driveshafts etc. didn't seem to bad.
edit: 2wd cossie diff on rsoc £175 and it's a old mate who's selling it so i can confirm he's a sound lad if anyone is interested!
