I just have to tell people. My daughter got her A level results today. A*s in maths, physics and chemistry. She really worked hard for them so
really deserves what she got. She's off to Sheffield in a month to study Civil Engineering. Still not enough women in engineering and some great
job prospects.
Very proud parent.
I hope that others with 18 year olds going through the process got what they wanted out of it.
Great news, tell her congratulations from me. My Niece is doing Civil Engineering, and loves it. She has been driving diggers, tippers, and huge bulldozers. Getting a very good insight into all aspects, including the grubby side o building bridges etc. Hard work but hopefully a great future.
Top Job - Congratulations to you (and her).
Congratulations to her Mate
I spent 20 years as a site engineer for a big civils contractor, and really enjoyed it.
Plus it taught me skills that have come in very handy building extensions on my houses over the years.
Good stuff, Sheffield is a good city and an excellent Uni. I hope she enjoys her time there.
