I was reading my mails in Outlook Express when a message popped up saying it needed to compact the mails to free some space as it was dangerously low on resources.

I was puzzled by this as I usually empty the 'delete' folder everytime.

I have lots of folders on the left screen panel and they stretch down the screen. I usually only access the Inbox.

Imagine my surprise when for the first time in months I scrolled down the left side of screen to see the Norton Anti-Spam folder showing over 5000 mails in it ! It was off screen in normal use and I had forgotten it was there!!

I get hundreds of mails that are handled by my rules system and end up in Deleted folder but Norton had kept the spam ones.

It must be an age thing.
