Scrapheap Challenge
athoirs - 21/2/05 at 03:16 PM

Hi guys.

Been told today that our application to appear on Scrapheap challenge has been accepted!!

Filming is in May sometime and will be screened in the autumn.

The team are all Scottish and are going to do our best to maintain the engineering tradition which has lost its way somewhat recently...

I've built a couple of cars and buggies now and one of the members has built a “book” IRS Pinto among other things, so we will try not to let the side down!

Ah well better get back to practising my cutting and welding… don’t want to look a total prat..

Andy

You'll have to let us know nearer the date when it is going to be screened... unless it's live is it??

Good luck for then..

Any idea what you are building ?

athoirs - 21/2/05 at 07:10 PM

No idea at all.. they only tell you on the day of the filming- starts at 7am and finishes at 10pm ! It took me 8 months to build my first car so god knows how you can do anything in that time!!

Come on the scots a nation of great inventors that have made it possible to cross the globe in many ways (sh*t we invented tv and telephones and tarmac and the pneumatic tyre so without us you could not do anything that this forums about ). We can party every step of the way and w e can laugh at ourselves as well as others. Truly a nation to be envied by all and I'm sure the boys will not let us down in sh challenge.

Sorry for the patriotic rant but its all true.
Did i mention Jackie Stuart, David Couthard and Alan MacNish and John Cleleand.
