has anyone got a rusty old motorbike that they'd be glad to see the back of? Particularly a free rusty old bike.
....or would consider trading for a 1600 CVH (stripped and ready for rebuild).

Thought not.
Well seeing as its a stripped Engine...
I have a stripped 1954 Matchless G3LS, with almost another one for spares.
I'll swap it all for a Locost or simmilar.
One of the 3 frames is shotblasted and powder coated. The forks have been re bushed, and there is a new swinging arm pin and bushes ready to go in.
A half or nearly fully built Locost, or a fully finished Caterham (on the road Taxed and tested), will get you a Lot of matchless bits!.

This might fit the bill

But i ain't swapping for nothing
