RAT (Rorty Analogous Time).
Rorty - 18/4/05 at 01:27 PM

Mrs. R. and I share a fun analogous time game that has become quite engrossing. Neither of us wear a watch but one of us is usually close to one of many clocks we have, so when one asks the other what time it is, the other responds in analogous time.
To give you a few examples;
2:30 is "Chinese dentist" time (tooth hurt-ee).
3:03 is "Lee Enfield" time (Lee Enfield .303 rifle).
5:01 is "Levi's" time (Levi's 501 jeans).
7:47 is "Boeing" time (Boeing 747).
9:11 is "Porsche" time (Porsche 911).
9:50 is "cowboy" time (ten to ten to ten ten ten...sung musically sounds like the old western movies music). etc. etc.
We have dozens and dozens of them and we invent more frequently; the more obscure the better.
Are we weird, sad, or do other couples have silly word games or foibles too?

We just throw things at each other or do other more tiring activities

weekend days officially start at 9:30 therefore 9:30 on a saturday or sunday is refered to a tomorrow...... (any time before that is offically the middle of the night!)

I think you're just weird

I have to ask 'er indoors' what time it is as I'm too idle to look... the retort I get is: "Time to get up off your fat ar5e!"

I actually say "Jumbo time" for 7.47....

So as not confuse with 7.27, 7.37 etc.

Sad huh?
