Evening all.
I was just wondering if anyone was familiar with the clutch slave cylinder on the Mk1 MR2? Basically, I'm trying to figure out how to plumb it
in and I'm having a few issues.
The main one is the connection to my car's hydraulics. I'm using a Wilwood non integral mastercylinder with 3/16" pipe. I need to run
a flexi-line between this pipe and the MR2 slave cylinder to prevent pipe fatigue due to engine vibration. I can't find out what fitting is on
the end of the MR2 slave cylinder though.
I've measured the pipe going into the slave cylinder fitting, and it seems to be 6.3mm OD (1/4"?). Does anyone know what thread the union
is?
Thanks in advance,
Andy
I've just managed to measure the thread of the union going into the slave cylinder, and it is somewhere around 11.65mm diameter (around the
threaded section).
Does anyone know if this is likely to be a common size brake union? 11.65mm is a worn M12 thread, or it could be imperial? 7/16" perhaps? As
the car is a Toyota, I'm hazarding a guess that it is probably imperial, but it dates from 1987, so it could be imperial.
I have no idea if this is a common brake union size!
Cheers
Andy
