Hi thanks for the welcome, at the mo I am lookin to fit the 2.0 dohc as I have a good un with the car, yeah I know it ain't the best, but I hope to get to sva with this and then swap in a SOHC that I have possibly sourced. Reasoning/ tryin to keep to age related reggy number but might give myself more hassle in the long run!

welcome along, nice to see another MK'er in the fold

IMHO it would be better to go with an SOHC Pinto to start with. Once it's in and on the road, will you really want to take it all apart again? Also consider expensive things like exhaust systems, which will need changing along with the engine.

Good luck and keep the questions coming!

Cheers

yup, i started with the same philoshopy (1.6 pinto to swap later) and it is a proper ballache when the time comes! especially the exhaust (maybe bonnet too!)

2 litre pintos are actually getting harder to find unfortunately. of the 60 cars on ebay, few if any have this lump fitted.

Welcome

Good choice in car. The Indy is a really top quality product and is easy (ish) to build plus MK are great.

Have fun!
