Can anybody find out the ratios for a cavalier or astra 1.7 diesel gearbox? I need to sort my gearing for my autograsser and a big meeting is fast approaching and my new dog-engaged gearkit is still not on the horizon (waiting since christmas!)

Legend has it that the diesel box has a taller 2nd gear than the std F16 or F20 boxes, which would be perfect for my race gear, but I can't find out the actual ratios!

I have managed to get my hands on a full list of all FWD vauxhall gearset ratios now, and found that I need an F18 "w" box from a late astra turbodiesel.

Found one of those too at my local breakers, a 1997 one but he wants £85 + vat for it, but I think I am just going to have to stump up the cash!
