Star Wars tonight :D
ned - 19/5/05 at 10:07 AM

Anyone else going? My tickets were booked a week ago and still only 4 rows from the front as they were already pretty full up!

Should be good, just a shame they're not gonna make episodes 7,8 & 9.

Ned.

Dillinger1977 - 19/5/05 at 10:12 AM

just booked mine.
i thought ep 1 was manure, ep2 was passable, but 3 looks good!

donut - 19/5/05 at 10:14 AM

I thought they were all good but no one in my family wants to go so i'll probably be going on my own during the week next week when it's quiet!

liam.mccaffrey - 19/5/05 at 11:15 AM

i have read the screenplays for eps 7,8,9
not really that impressed didn't sound as epic,

just booked my tickets for tonight last showing 10.30

Russ-Turner - 19/5/05 at 11:21 AM

He's going...

Unfortunately, i'm not.

James - 19/5/05 at 02:40 PM

Used to be massive fan of 1st three films- then Phantom Menace came out 5 years ago and I was so gutted I've barely watched them since. Although I still beat the score of winning contender on Mastermind a couple of years ago when she had episodes 4-6 as a specialist subject!

Saw Attack of the Clones once or twice and it was a great improvement over Phantom and actually quite looking forward to Revenge. Willing to wait a week or two for tickets that'll be good seats though!

Cheers,
Star Wars Geek

Benzine - 19/5/05 at 03:24 PM

I really hate Star Wars so I'm not going. But have a fact of the day...

Attack of the clones was the first film to be shot entirely digitally, no film was used.

Hellfire - 19/5/05 at 04:36 PM

I love it... cant wait! It's a race between me and the young'un to the door!

subk2002 - 19/5/05 at 05:00 PM

It looks well good iv been playing it on the ps2 while im of with the bad knee

Jonte - 19/5/05 at 09:04 PM

going tomorrow night
really looking forward to it

ned - 19/5/05 at 09:33 PM

yup, just got in, film is very good, very well done as you would expect (if not 20mins too long imvho), though you come away feeling a bit depressed as due to the obvious facts that the story line has to serve out its never going to be a happy ending. i won't spoil it for you all though.

definately the final piece of the jigsaw and worth seeing..

Ned.

Russ-Turner - 19/5/05 at 09:43 PM

Did it make you wanna watch the first three straight away?

liam.mccaffrey - 19/5/05 at 11:52 PM

oh yes i wanna watch them right now!

not really as i've seen em all before and got em all on dvd, did make it all click into place, with the exception of one comment by yoda right at the end that seemed sort of out of place..

Ned.

Peteff - 20/5/05 at 08:51 AM

I though that sounded odd as well

liam.mccaffrey - 20/5/05 at 12:07 PM

i agree ned if thats the same comment i picked up, i thought at the time i didn't remember that from the other films?(4,5,6)

about quaygon liam?

Noodle - 20/5/05 at 12:43 PM

I've never seen a complete Star Wars film.

Am I weird?

David Jenkins - 20/5/05 at 12:46 PM

Yes... but that's nothing to do with Star Wars!

Thats why return of the empire was so good, films where the good guys don't win are rare and to be savoured.

Hellfire - 30/5/05 at 10:25 PM

I took my family to see it tonight... the story line is very weak to say the least. The acting (Annakin) was absolutely pathetic... the script was poor. So why did I enjoy it... the graphics were bl00dy awesome and I still think Padme is very pretty (missus told me to put that! ) I'm glad it's complete now as it was just getting silly!

So now it's complete - how come the last one III has more technology than IV even though it preceeds it. The obvious LUCAS flaw - 30 years!!! Pill0ck!!!

stephen_gusterson - 30/5/05 at 11:52 PM

if 7 onwards are to be like 1+2 id say stop. The originals were great, the new ones are kak in comparison. I queued outside a cinema in 1977 to see the original star wars and still remeber being blown away by lukes 'bombing run' to the death star.

The later movies are just a corruption

be nice if 3 was better tho

atb

steve

ps ned ----- star wars DOES have a happy ending - obiwan, darth et al are all smiling down benevelently as gosts at the end while luke and his mates party.
