Unbelievable

Has got to be illegal....

If he posts pictures of the stuff he should be reported to the police.

Actually he should be reported anyway.

woodster - 27/5/05 at 12:29 PM

is it legal ......or not ? its not the first one I've seen

I have seen people selling log book etc with the engine/ gearbox etc. For use in kit cars mainly to get age related plates... Not so sure about the legality of either TBH.

I doubt it's illegal to sell it.
To use it for nefarious purposes would be another matter...

Peteff - 27/5/05 at 12:46 PM

Might be legal if he states they are collectors items only, not for registering a car. Land Rover and Mini log books come up in ad mag quite often to get tax exempt status.

I would have thought that if the car no longer exists then the log book V5 should have been returned to the DVLA to notify them of a scrapped vehicle.

Someone was selling the complete identity of a Sierra Cosworth including V5, old MOTs and tax discs and a service book with history. Basically a do-it-yourself ringing kit
