I wish I had a significant other to feel left out......
Hell if I had a significant other I wouldn't be building! I'd have something far more fun to spend my time doing.
yeh thats why kids are number 3 on the list

My beaultiful wife was at firdst horrified that I was taking on such a project just as we learned about the the imenet arrival of our son . I have
persaveared and she has become firstly resigned and now is looking forward to driving my car to work on the days when I will need the family car to
carry the chidren
the trick is to persavere and they will come round , as long as you are not spending the grocery money..........
best wishes
Iain
mine encuranged me to build my kit, just so she could get on with writing up her PhD in peace and quiet without me hanging round all day....better leave the angle grinder in the cupboard for a few more days then unleach hell!!!!
Fozzie,
I know what you mean as i would love to go to the meeting they have in Ackworth but women are not aloud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a bunch of male showvanistic pigs springs to mind. Ha Ha
If it wasn't for us women they would not have these toys to play with
Lisa
P.S. I read the posts on here as well as my other half

only a week into the build and shes complaining about not seeing me already!
get in!
My GF sees here self as a kit-car widow! Idon't think she minds to much at the moment, as she is busy revising for an archaeology exam.
It's all about time management, so I'm told. I spend too much time messing around in the garage, and I get priveledges withdrawn......
its not the kit building she has a problem with its the amount of time i spend on here
Well thats the way she would tell it
but to be fare I dont smoke ,drink or have any other norty vices, and she always knows were I am on a sat
night
I just cannot sit and watch soap after soap when I could be playing with the grinder......
We have a computer each connected to the modem and my wife reads her stuff and I read mine. Perfectly amicable solution. I had to rebuild hers with
some new bits yesterday though as she was having problems with mysterious crashes and lockups. All fixed now though
.
Fozzie
yup did it! He is as much as a car freak as me.....
..if not more!
. My other half was brilliant, but wouldn't let me get away with nowt but perfection, I think
that if I collected all the bits that were not 'quite right' I would have enough bits for another car! I hope the ear bashings I took
reflect the way my car has turned out. The fozzmobile went through SVA first go! I have been involved in motor racing for quite a few years now, so I
accept that I am the exception rather than the rule. I know that when I did my ARDS I was the only female there!

however its about to backfire on me in the best possible way! through being on here and buying kit magazines and dragging her to shows( which she does
enjoy) .we are now on the look out for a beach buggy for her ! not locost or a seven but fun all the same.
scott
Wife is quite happy. It keeps me away from her.

,
My wife couldn't give 2 hoots about kit cars although she does get a tad annoyed when i keep selling them!
She's happy i'm building a Cobra cos she's convinced i won't sell it
My gf has told me that I spend too much time on here...like now, I should be revising!
And I even manage to get on here when she is here, much to
her annoyance. She does think that se7ens are pretty though...so im on a winner there.

I think it's a shame there are not more women on here. I mean just think if we could all get our other halves building as well... all those
ladies getting all mucky with oil and grease....
oh I think I need to go for a bit of a lie down!

how about a builders wives section ?

My GF is a very busy person, same as myself, so we are very happy that the other one is as busy.. we don't see each other very much, which, if
kept within limits, helps keep a quality relationship!
