looks like ferrari might get handed the championship, and F1 a gravestone

the way i see it the FIA is the ones that should be in the dock,is it worth risking someones life on dodgy tyres?what if a driver or spectator had
died?why couldnt they have just put a chicane in?
the "rules is rules" attitude with no room for manouver is stupid, several tyres have gone pop this year and more will follow till someone
gets hurt or killed then the hand wringing brigade will be banning motorsport at all levels

would the proposed a1gp still be governed by the FIA?
Why didn't the Michelin runners take some of the downforce off the rear of the cars to reduce cornering speeds which in turn would reduce the stress on the tyre?
I don't see that putting a chicane in would have made things safer.... if it was a lash up job at the last minute surely that would be as unsafe
as running the race on dodgey tyres.....
I fail to see why the FIA wouldn't, considering it was exceptional cercumstances, allow the teams to run on either bridgestone or change their
michelin tyres every 10 laps. Can someone explain this to me?
The Michelin cars could have changed their tyres every ten laps, that was suggested by the FIA, the teams rejected that one.
My humble opinion is that it's a collective cock-up - many guilty parties but no single villain, and an awful lot of losers. It looks like F1 has
started to self-destruct, as many have predicted for a very long time.
I just hope that Bernie doesn't decide to get his claws into some other worthy championship (e.g. bike racing).

bernie is 75. How much time does he have to muff something up?

I'd ask his wife that one.

I just feel sorry for the F1 fans, some will have traveled half way round the world, costing them hundreds of pounds,to watch that cock up

Unfortunately Ralph Schumachers tyre failed on his first flying lap so saying change tyres every 10 laps wouldn't have been safe either.
