yup, it's that time of year, so a quick tour of the online insurance companies with some interesting results:

with nationwide:
quoted with additional driver ie partner quote goes down £120!

with AA:
change from third party fire and theft to third party only and premium goes up £100! go figure..

I was the same with my 'real' car - asked if I'd save some money by taking my wife off the policy, as she never drives it. The cost would have gone UP around £25!

Daft...

It makes me laugh, the AA and all other companies that 'search' for the best deal always end up being the most expensive.

Bizzare!

Have you tried:

http://www.confused.com ?

They're a sort of broker's broker. I got a pretty good deal with them- down £120 on the Admiral renewal quote.

Cheers,
James
