i've now sold as well as bought things on ebay

just got to hope the bloke does the 100 mile journey to pay a pound for his escort ghia glove box! hmmmmmmm.

he's just noticed i won't post, so has paid the winning 95p and asked me to put the glove box in the bin!



oh well...... almost a perfect first sale! i got the money and get to keep the item

You should have offered to post the item at the buyers expense , as an old lag on Ebay I can say that you do yourself no good by refusing to post things small enough to be sent even if it is bit of a hasle then at least you get positive feedback from the buyer and in the end that is good for any future Ebay activity you undertake . If it was me I would email the buyer and say postage no problem
there is no obligation to use new packing either I always recycle post packs and bubble wrap ect never had a complaint yet
With Ebay You have to look to the long game so look after your buyers in the end You benifit

Post it mate....it won't cost anywhere near what 100miles of fuel will cost.....when i buy on ebay i weigh up fuel against the postage if cheaper for postage i go that route everytime. Don't bother unless local, to buy from anyone who won't post ...

My seats are quite big and weigh 10kgs packed(pr) and have had no problems with damage or being refused to deliver them.

It's now possible to get anything at all uplifted from your home. I've shipped hi fi, books, engines, amplifiers, huge speaker cabinets, wheels, gearboxes, guitars.
Basically, from an envelope to a pallet is all possible at very low cost.

I would be surprised if your man's glove box cost more than a fiver including packing materials if you aren't able to recycle existing stuff you have lying around.

My theory is that if the customer is willing to pay the costs then it's their bold decision.
