Anyone know what's best to clean a greasy oven?
If I do a good job, I get bonus garage points so help me out here.

If you've got shot blasting gear I imagine that'd get it nice and shiny

Get yourself married then you never have to worry about doing girly work like cleaningovens/decorating/hoovering/fixing the roof/building walls etc

Definitely clean and/or repair.
We "had" to get a new dishwasher recently, which wouldn't fit into the hole, so we "needed" completely new cupboards. While
we were at it, we "simply had to" move the sink to another wall and replace the old window with another back door. Then because the
layout of the cupboards was different, it was "essential" that we had new wood flooring too. Of course, the old tiles just looked
"plain wrong."
So, if I washed dishes, I could have saved a lot of money and disruption.
I got married to stop me having to do these things. Mainly cooking and cleaning. How wrong was I.
Here's a little household wisdom, this works WONDERS on even the most horrid dirty ovens:
- heat the oven to 200 degrees celsius,leave it on for 15 minutes.
- switch it off, and leave the door closed while you:
- fill a shallow glass dish with ammonia and put it on the top ledge
- on the oven floor, put 2 cups of boiling water
- close the oven and leave for 2 hours or the entire night
- take out the water and ammonia
- make a gel-like mix of ammonia, half a cup of water, baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar
- cover the entire inside of the oven with this mix, and leave it for 15 minutes
- clean the oven with a sponge, thoroughly clean with lots of clean water.
The oven will be so clean the missus will weld your frame for you 
I dont mind cleaning and ironing etc !!
Before I got married my bride to be said 'you'll never have to worry about ironing etc if we get married
But when we split I didn't have to worry about having any money either!!
MUCH cheaper to do it yourself.................

Just been brousing google and apparently you can get a self cleaning oven. It heats up to 900 degrees F. and burns off any spills or stains. Probably cost a tad more but hey, everyones a winner!!

Get yourself a cleaner - best £6 an hour you can spend.
i plan on buying a new oven when it gets too dirty. Its only about £160 for a cheap electric integrated oven these days
having said that, id probably just leave it dirty...

Why not use an oven valeting service?
Such as :-

They allow 3hrs per appt.
Get them round when the missus is out (and, obviously, without her knowledge!) That way, you get the 3hrs in the garage whilst oven is being valeted
PLUS the extra garage points you'll get from missus on return for doing such an 'expert' professional job!!!!

I bet the ammonia route will whiff a bit - you might lose points if not careful. Ive seen Kim and aggie use half a lemon and salt as a degreaser for
dirty pans. Apparently white vinegar is good for stubborn cooking marks.
I decorated hall, stairs, landing and downstairs toilet (ceiling, gloss work and walls) and was allowed to buy DD2. I consider myself to be the best
paid decorator in our area!!! Im hoping to get exhaust silencer for doing the kitchen.
Im pleased to see im not the only one who likes to earn points. To be honest i dont help a lot but do try. I did the ironing this morning at 06.30 so
she could go out later and chill a bit. In my mind its all about teamwork. She doesnt do paid work but does a fantastic job of keeping house and 2
young daughters in check. I wouldnt swap her at any cost!!
