meant to ride really well but simply too loud. apparantly the german car manufacturers have been looking at them since the early 90's

they look cool though!

Have been used on lift trucks in areas where there is a punctured hazard since at least the early 90s there is also a variation used in military vehicles that is a sort of inner tyre inside a conventional tyre that only take load when the peumatic tyre deflates.

Now where did I put my Dunlop Denovos ?

The proper ones have sidewalls, that's just a cutaway to show how they work.
