you could play eBay roulette - put in a higher bid and hope you get out bid before the auction ends. Gets the adrenaline running!

If we're going for a group buy then I'm willing to pitch in a tenner

If you win, you can keep it in my yard if you want. Free. No charge. I mean, just because I'm a nice bloke. I won't be ragging it round all the time. Honest

Mike

i like mooching through the buyer's past ebay history to see who IS a rich f..er, and who's just having a larf..

DarrenW - 4/8/05 at 01:03 PM

ok, i have to own up. I bought it for my wife at the auctions but she doesnt like it so it has to go. She said she would prefer a Rover 214 instead as its easier to park. She doesnt like Red as well - how ungrateful can you get????

vintagebuilder - 4/8/05 at 01:08 PM

On the other hand - if you were selling an Enzo would you want everyone to know what else you had bought and sold, and figure out things about you like where you live? Lots of people are going to be looking at the page.

I know you could only buy them if offered by Ferrari, but I was under the impression that you were meant to sell it back to them aswell.

Not the case?

Cheers,
James

current higest bidder 'tidymonkey' has previously bought an entire wardrobe of chavwear, bits for a vw, and 'get rich quick' self help stuff.

something tells me either hes taking the pee, or the 'get rich quick' works!!

chrisf - 5/8/05 at 03:27 AM

I know this is an old topic, but these are the funniest comments I've read on this list:

1.) you could play eBay roulette - put in a higher bid and hope you get out bid before the auction ends. Gets the adrenaline running!

2.) ...something tells me either hes taking the pee, or the 'get rich quick' works!!

Well done gentlemen!

Just had another look at this - some of the recent history of the bidders is amusing. Like the person who bought a Fiesta turbo for £700 a coule of weeks ago, who is now bidding £1.1 million for an Enzo. Or the one who searched eBay for a pair of Nike trainers at £40, but has over a million for a car. Both seem a bit unlikely to me....

Hellfire - 8/8/05 at 11:14 AM

I reckon some of em are playing e-bay roulette as mentioned before. Must admit though, I was tempted to put a bid in myself at 800K, safe in the knowledge that I'd be outbid

However, common sense prevailed in the end

phelpsa - 8/8/05 at 11:31 AM

At least we know the current high bidder has size ten shoes

Probably too big for teh Enzo pedals....

Most of them must be roulette I think. I was wondering about the legal situation and even if you had to pay costs for not buying, think about the eBay fees

Hellfire - 10/8/05 at 10:05 PM

It's gone With 1 day left to go. Last time I looked it was at 1.3 million. There I was waiting for the last few minutes so I could do a bit of bid sniping..........................................
