Promised to take my 11 year old daughter and her freind to a theme park tomorrow.

Been to Flamingo Land a few times and it's a safe bet.

Anyone been to Light Water Valley and would care to comment?

Im orignally form Thirsk just up the road, although it was quite a while ago since ive been to Lightwater valley it was a good day out although iirc the queues for the rides were a bit on the silly ride, espcially for the bigger rides.

Been taking my daughter to lightwater valley for several years now. I don't think that the queues are any worse than any other theme park. Get there for the gates opening in the morning and go on the roller coaster first as that is usually the big queue later in the day.

Worth a visit IMHO - rides perhaps not as big as Flamingo land but I actually prefer it for that

There is a nice collection of Jaguar cars in the Shopping bit.

Head in the other direction and go to Alton Towers? Or still one of the best - a trip to the pleasure beach at Blackpool.
