I'm looking at buying a car that has a tracker system fitted, but the owner doesn't have the certificate of installation, does anyone know if i can obatin a copy?? if so where from???

When i got mine done the fitter wrote it out there and then with the details of the system he fitted, from a pre printed pad.
I carnt remember if it was a carbon copy pad.
Presumably the fitter would have to keep a copy allowing a check to be done by insurance company?.

Also i had to send a photo copy of the cert to my insurance company, ask the guy to see if he can get a copy back from them?
