GMail Invites
flak monkey - 30/8/05 at 05:25 PM

Open to you guys here. I have around 40 GMail invites to share around. 2.5Gb inbox and all the usual features. Just send me a U2U or reply to this thread with your current email address and I will get one sent out to you.

Sorry for the lack of postings lately, but I have been rather busy at work, and also dial up doesnt help.

Hope the projects are all going OK

Cheers,
David

i have 49 available. I have only managed to give TWO away so far. I had only been a member a couple days, and got 50 to give. And its been topped up once when i gave one to my son.

these things are not rare anymore.

stevegusterson@gmail.com if anyone wants to take some off my hands!

Phil you have an invite now. *Hopefully* Things are good, way too busy to think about too much at the moment though!

Brooky, all I need is your email address and i will forward one to you.

I agree with Steve, they arent rare anymore, but they dont get offered round much, so I thought I would share some!

gmail is a hotmail type service from google. its different cos you can search with a tool thro stuff, it puts all mails with their replies in a thread, and you get 2.5 gb (yes, gb) of storage.

and I still have 99 to give away.

Thanks Steve,

I'm intrigued as to why they have to be given away, isn't it something you can just sign up to?

what's special about it?

cheers

Chris

Because its still in beta so not a service you can freely sign up to

steve_gus - 2/9/05 at 09:15 PM

www.gmail.com

as said in the last post, its beta, but the fact i got given 50 invites a day or so after joining kinda makes it not very beta anymore. Then they upped it to a 100 to give away.

anyone>??????

So what does that mean translated???

steve_gus - 2/9/05 at 10:17 PM

beta =

testing phase.

its a software term.

they are rolling it out slowly over a controlled number of users so it can be debugged without publicly falling flat on its face.

Microsoft often give out beta versions of the next issue of windows so that they can keep their dirty washing private and fix issues before 10 zillion copies are sold.
