Go for it mate. Its a lot like mine and all it takes is a lot of elbow grease.

Tax, MOT & Insurance...........???

If you could get it for £150 i would strip it and sell the bits seperately. The disc brake set up is worth £150 on it's own!!

Yeah, but I want it on the road. What happens if its got no chassis number or it been declared scrapped?

Cheers,

Register it as a amatuer built vehicle.
It will need SVA and will probably end up with a Q plate.

It's a Mini so must have been registered in the first place.

Get it good enough for an MOT. Get an mot and tax and she's on the road.

Just need the chassis number to get a V5.

find a rotten mini in the local paper and bung the chassis number and vin from that on the other one, then get the rotten one crushed.

Simple, and no it's not ringing as long as you own both cars involved, it's reshelling (in a slightly roundabout way!)

The guy says its got a V5, as it was on the road about 5 years ago.

What do you think guys?

Just put the plates back on and MOT it. Then it's a normal car, no problems.
