Portable DVD players?

Evening all!

S.W.M.B.O. is going on about buying a portable DVD player for train trips/camping etc etc, and I am hoping that someone can advise me on the good ones and not so good ones! (mainly so I can take the credit, and earn vital brownie points in the process.....)

Something that plays DVDs (including home made ones, I've got a CD-RW drive on my PC) would be good. The ability to play MP3 Cds would also be a bonus!

She doesn't want a huge screen though (7-8" will do), and if it looks "sleek and cool" (her words) that would be great too.

The only thing that I am not sure about is that of video inputs. It would be really good if we could get one with a video input, then I can connect it to the receiver for my Digital camera that I send up in kites and RC planes, thus saving the need to lug a massive notebook PC around!

Any help would be appreciated, cheers!

Andy

If you fancy spending loads of money than a Mac notebook would be very cool, failing that try woolworths as they do a small selection of small portable DVD players.

I just bought a goodmans one from makro, you get a player with 7" screen(fold up like a laptop type), an extra 7" screen, bag cables, straps,2x earphones, etc £99.99+vat
the second screen has video and audio inputs
only draw back is you have to buy the accessorry pack (batttery pac and mains adapter)seperately £19.99+vat.

still seems a bargain though.

If you download stuff, make sure it's DIVX / XViD compatible
