what's the deal with these car's that park up by the side of the road with people sat in them (usually elderly) They are normally on verges or layby's and have a sign in the window (which i never seem to be able to read) or/and a warning triangle somewhere by them.

From them almost always being elderly I take it that it must involve a bit of money on the side for supplying some sort of traffic volume statistics?

Is this only in the South West (perfect supply of required age group) or have other people noticed them sat about with a thermos and a warm blanket?

You get quite a lot of them round Llandudno/Rhos on Sea too, especially sat on the promenade/seafront

Can't say I have noticed the warning triangles/signs though!

I thought their job was testing Tupperware?

to be honest understanding the vaguearities of old people is a lot harder than scratchbuilding a locost so probs needs a forum on its own.

My take is that you will most probably find the couple have been married for some time. The old guy will be so severly pecked that he will be almost in a shellshocked state. Everytime swmbo evens whispers his inner self will shrink away and the response 'Yes dear' will sound out involuntarilry (ie an auto impulse). The old lady was once a normal lady. As we all know you cannot get into the inner mind of these species so one simply never knows what goes on. I can however deduce that with age the inner workings get duller. So once over the couple possibly went out for a drive and frequented a lovely little tea shop that Fred and Elsie told them about, but now they dont get that far and feel the need for a cuppa en-route (or at least she will and he just says 'Yes dear'. The big question is where do they go to take a leak when they are parked up????? Is that really lime juice in the bottle???


As an aside note, is it just me or has anyone else noticed the growing number of greys that seem to have rather nice motors. Where i live grey cash must have a different conversion rate as it seems to go a lot farther.

We get them around the local reservoir. One pair, who were there when the wife and I were cycling one day, set up a picnic. They got their hamper out with sarnies and cake and a box of white wine and glasses . We left sharpish.
