I too have had the experience of hitting the road with the top of my crash helmet, while still in a normal sitting position in the Kart.......I only injured an exhaust and axle, don't know if this guy was as lucky!

Cheers

that does look nasty. my best friend managed to cartwheel his 125 gearbox end to end about 8' in the air as he touched wheels at about 80mph with another kart.

thankfully he was thrown out and landed in some heather at the side of the track. He was checked out by the medics and was back racing in the final at the end of the day.

definately one of those 'what could have beens' though.

Ned.

OUCH!

I was karting a couple of weeks ago and was involved in a big pile up. No one badly hurt, but a couple of retirees with sore necks and backs. It's quite disconcerting being sat in the kart when karts are slamming into you from several directions.

Are the carts in Letchworth any good? Would like a go in something better than the usual type carts at cart centers

I had an accident in a cart a few years age. I found tyre marks on my helmet - the other cart must have been on top of me - no injuries.
