High speed steering on a 4wd car?
Northy - 25/10/05 at 07:49 PM

In fundermental terms (suspension design) what would give more "turn in" at high speeds if a car was godd at low to medium speeds? Is this affescted by ackerman, roll centre etc? (4wd car)

Would this also be the case for power on understeer?

Cheers

Not sure exactly what you are asking --

As a rule all cars tend to be more reluctant to turn on low speed turns because of the effects polar moment of inertia -- dumb bell effect.

A bit more ackerman tends to improve the low speed turn in. Zero or negative ackerman combined with a tight LSD is known to give poor turn in at slow speeds.
