Plastic Van Fuel Tank or Water Tank
NS Dev - 27/10/05 at 02:09 PM

Right folks, I never seem to get let down for answers on here so here goes!!!.......

We are after a water tank to put in the boot of a Ford Scorpio (saloon) for feeding a power washer.

Purpose made tanks are pricey, a plastic van petrol or diesel tank would be about right.

Anybody got suggestions for a source, or better yet, one they could donate/sell!???

Needs to fit in a space that is 17 ins high and 3 ft wide.

Daft Suggestion

Have you tried a commercial vehicle breakers? I was thinking in terms of a truck fuel tank anything from 7.5 tonne to 44 tonne artic - something might be the right size

Hope this helps

Water carrier from a caravan shop?

The fuel tanks on many refrigerated trailers are plastic these days. Some of them are quite large though.

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

The 7.5 tonne truck diesel tank looks the most promising.

Already using caravan water containers but the need for several and plumbing that can gravity feed a pressure washer makes them a bit cumbersome.
