Only just found out that Roy from the show has passed away
http://community.discovery.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/3211946096/m/9821927018
I saw it mentioned a few times that he was the cream of the crop in his day but it seemed his heart was'nt in it anymore - His seeming lack of
enthusiasm all fits together now with his wifes illness etc.
Alot of these shows seem to be losing thier members - Just reading other forums i've discovered that Gary of Southern Chopper (Southern Steel)
/Tim from Wingnuts/ Michael Tata The Casino owner on American casino / Indian Larry have all departed us.
Probably old news to our us members but thought i'd mention it.
Cheers
G
sad he was really entertaining to watch
Yeah - I loved watching him filling panel holes with molten metal, rather than filler. A real craftsman.
On another note, is it just me, or do others think that Boyd Coddington is just about the worse manager of people on the planet. He spent most of his
time driving his often very talented staff into the ground for the sake of the TV programmes obviously 'faked' deadlines - just to make
exciting TV. What an arse.
Boyd always strikes me as an idiot, as does Duane. Roy I liked. I like curmudgeonly old geezers that really know how to do a job.
Foose seems more like someone you would want to work for.
No wonder they are all going to Foose!

you just hit the nail on the head i laughed my head off when mike went chip foose rules!
The first lot of shows were good but it's the same old shite now.
Duane needs a good kicking, but at least he's entertaining. I'd love to work with him, it'd be so easy to wind him up.
Anyone for Monster Garage ?
