remember when it was first diagnosed, someone i knew commented that he only had a couple of years. Its nearly always fatal. Real shame, least he got a world championship, must feel good to be the best in your chosen sport.

An ambassador for the sport, he will be sadly missed.

My friend died of the same thing a few years back. It takes your personality first and then your life.

As the old Irish saying goes, "you're a long time dead".

Let's all enjoy our time here to the fullest.

Very, very sad news indeed.

Poor bloke, no age is it? Rest in peace young man.

Simon - 27/11/05 at 12:38 AM

I heard this this morning and was rather shocked.

Was looking at his website the other day trying to see how he was.

Damn shame.

Then you get those who just throw it away - see other thread.

I saw this on the news this morning, very sad and quite a shock - I thought he was getting better. Still, at least the time he had was lived to the full.
