Teenager mugged by three children

A 14-YEAR-OLD girl was assaulted and robbed by a group of younger children in the Fintry area of Dundee.

Two boys, thought to be aged about 10, and a girl, believed to be about eight, grabbed the victim’s shoulder bag and pulled her to the ground in Fintry Drive about 4.30 pm on Thursday.

The young girl in the group then opened the shoulder bag and stole an electricity card.

At this point the 14-year-old ran home and did not see the direction in which the suspects left. The girl was shaken and distressed after the robbery but was not injured.

Officers carried out door-to-door interviews last night and are following a positive line of inquiry.

Police believe that people would have been in the area, and cars passing, at the time of the attack and are appealing to the public for more information.

Anyone who witnessed the crime is asked to contact the police on 01382 223200 or speak to any officer.

Thats horrible. But why would 10 year olds nick an electricity card?

possibly because they have a new born sat alone in the dark at home and they had lost theirs?

not suggesting that there are a lot of chavs in dundee or anything.
