Corsa 1.2
Lightning - 15/1/06 at 07:59 PM

A girl friend has a Corsa 1.2, (early one) and it would appear to be lacking in power. I know its only a 1.2 but it will not pull the skin off a rice pudding.
No burning oil, no overheating no oil in water and it sounds ok. Plugs changed and air filter.
What are the most likely causes?

my gf has a 52 plate 1.2 and to be honest its no race car but i wouldnt say its bad. . .

0-80 is fine, just dont try to overtake more than one car at a time.

does it drive like the chokes on (choke feeling) single point injection??

not really. BTW it wont get to 80 . 70 is hard enough

take it to a local vauxhall garage and give a oily rag a £10 to plug it into there computer shite and see what it says.

Check the valve timing , easy job . Someone could have done it wrong if it's been changed . Change the fuel filter . check for full throttle. Try the easy/cheap things first. Brakes binding?
