
missus has got an audi a2 and the remote locking dont work always
works now and then so presume its not the remote battery but when its not working and the doors are shut if you press the remote it makes the interior
lights dim as if the motor is jamed
another stange point is a freind has got a type r and when he presses his remote it does the same thing with interior light in the audi
just thought id ask you guys before i get skanked for £90 an hour labour
any thoughts appreciated

Sorry can't help with that problem, but my dad had a pre-production (or one of the 1st) A2 and it was floored with design faults.
Hope they improved it on later models - his was an X.

lock and unlock the car, listening to each lock in turn, including the tailgate and fuel filler. See if one of them is causing you a problem.
My first smart had an actuator that failed on the fuel filler. If one lock failed to close, then they all opened. I phoned the dealer to expalin and
they fitted me in for an emergency repair (under warranty) but only after asking them to tell me how to secure an unlocked car.
Electronic gizmos are good until they break.
Isn't the A2 vacuum powered central locking?
couldnt tell ya sounds electric could be saying that as all the other vw/audi are
good thinkin ill have a look for the pump to see what thts doing
