Indeed, RIP my friend. One of my best men is doing his marshall's course as we speak/type.

That must have been a real freak accident. A real shame, RIP

The worrying thing is that, at teeside a few weeks ago i thought that the marshals were quite badly placed, one was just sat in a mini to one side of the straight. You could easily have killed yourself if you drove into it. Sometimes i think trackdays are a little too slackly organised, accidents like this should never happen. At most circuits ive been to the marshals are behind earth banks, tyres or sand bags, which is really no less than it should be.

I agree and I've only been to one track day. My mates fiesta was written off by a guy overtaking on the warm up lap he and his passenger both got hurt (bad backs) .Nothing was done about checking who the driver was/ banning him.
There were folk there (chavs) with £30 wed. night mart cars who didn't give a shite and they were running with Cars worth £10000,s. Very poorly organised and no grouping of similar priced/powered cars and folk smoking spliffs it the pits(WTF).
Never been back since so has knockhill improved yet?

Sorry to hear about another death in motorsport R.I.P mate.
