any one see the docu on chernobyl on discovery earlier?
BLoody good it was, seemed to go into more detail than any i'd seen before. Also very scary - I've been to the ukraine
just had a look on the map we stayed in kiev which is only 60 miles from the accident site
ive just turned it off on disco+1, made rather sad viewing. 500,000 people involved in the clean up, 20k dead and 200k registered as disabled. $18bn
too.

By far the worst problem is the lingering radiation in the ground. My old man used to run a charity that brought the kids out here for a month each
year. It was said to add 40
years to their life. Each year they eat more and more radiation due to the infected/poisoned groung growing their veg/
feeding their cattle etc. Very sad.
