ive just turned it off on disco+1, made rather sad viewing. 500,000 people involved in the clean up, 20k dead and 200k registered as disabled. $18bn too.

By far the worst problem is the lingering radiation in the ground. My old man used to run a charity that brought the kids out here for a month each year. It was said to add 40 years to their life. Each year they eat more and more radiation due to the infected/poisoned groung growing their veg/ feeding their cattle etc. Very sad.

Totally fascinating website. So I was a bit gutted to find out its a hoax. Apparently Elena took a tourist trip to Chernobyl - the motorbike thing was complete fantasy. I think she has taken a lot of artistc licence with the writing too. Have a look at this page for more info.
