I've got to mist coat almost the entire ground floor of my house as it's all been re-plastered including the ceilings.

I've seen in B&Q electric spray guns for emulsion, and as the mist coat is only 10% emulsion to 90% water anybody know if these are worth using?

It's this or do the usual and cover myself and everything around me using a roller again....

Try misting on a 5 to 1 water / PVA solution first.

If it goes on a bit spattery it wont matter as it does not have any solids in it.

I find it's good on bare plaster as it stops the 'sucking' of water out of the emulsion. It also helps the emulsion stay on better.

The yanks seem to go in for spraying a lot

i srayed mine then went over it with a roller after just to smooth it out

recently built two houses and used new plaster emulsion on the plasterers recommendation but pva will do the same thing.

leyland white matt is a good choice for high pigment and its what the pros seem to use

I used a £50 Argos Earl number.

Good enough to spray my chassis so should be fine for a house.
