Sorry this is such a naff subject (especially for a bloke!!) but the tumble dryer has stopped producing heat. It still blows and tumbles but just no
heat. Anyone know if it's a simple fix or would it be better replacing it.
Thanks

What make is it. Some of them have a reset button on the back a small red one. Failing that measure the resistance across the element you should get 28 ohms.
It could be a dead element. If the rest of it is in good shape, it's worth replacing it. My Whirlpool tumble dryer died after 6 years, £28 for
a new element and about a half hour for me to fit it. Still running 3 years later.
Tried to buy the part from Whirlpool, but it was stupid money. Found a few places online that sold it for a lot less (do a google search on the model
no or part no) and my local appliance repair place matched my best online price.
Look for a thermal fuse inside some sheathing go to the heater element, these do go with age.
Thanx for the suggestions. I'll have a gander and see whats what.
Oh it's a Bosh by the way.

Chances are that it's the thermal fuse, mine's gone twice and I've finally convinced the missus to let it run it's 10 minute cool cycle, that way the heat doesn't build up and burn out the fuse.
