I had to remove the battery from my focus in order to jump start the tiger, but now i need a code for my radio.
i have tried the code i had and it does not work. do the cheap computer programmes on ebay work or do i need to pay someone to give me the code.
thanks
The one I got from Ebay for 99p certainly worked. Still got it loaded on my office PC.
If you u2u me your radio serial number I will reply with the code it gives.

IF you ring Ford HQ or a Ford garage they will usually get the code for you also. I've done this with Peugeot and Citroen over the phone with no
problems and for free.
Greg.
Codes for older radios are no trouble ---- some post year 2000 ones can be trickier to get without going to the dealer.
Any decode software you get off ebay VIRUS CHECK before loading.

Iwas taking the radio out of an Escort I had because I didn't have the code and it was written on the top in black felt pen, so someone must have replaced it already.
just removed the radio what a pain, my stupid fault for thinking plumbers solder wire would do to act as keys, after i pushed the solder in could i
get it out.
anyway got it out by getting my hand in behind the radio and manual pushing the clips in.
typical the radio has a different serial no to the one i had been given, so have passed this on to members on site to see if they can produce a code.
thanks for the help
thanks to alan i am all sorted now.
thanks to everyone.
Just about to pm/post you what I had.... too late!

it was 1049 thanks for your effort, shame i have just made my code public now. next i will be giving out my pin for my credit card
Never understood why manufacturers' standard radios have codes - who would want to steal a crappy Ford tape player!?

Glad you got it working again
