Wow...over 90% think they are a money making scam....doesnt give us much hope does it...

If you cant be bothered I will spell it out simply. Speed camera fines go the treasury ( Mr Brown ) a little is returned to the partnership so they can install more camera's and more revenue.

1)dont pay half as much for petrol

2)some dont pay road tax

3)some dont pay fines just get points

4)Insurance isnt as much yet there the worst drivers.

But

there roads are better than ours
when they repair a road its done with pride and skill not just a patch up which is like a mountain
and they people stay out late at night to enjoy themselves because they feel/are safer on the streets

Correction:

Partnerships give a quota of fines in advance to the treasurery.
If they are under their quota then the next year their quota is capped to that figure.
Anything over the quota goes to the Treasury.

The annoying thing is the treasury do better under this system then the last as everyones quotas are low so they dont get capped the next year.

"safety camera partnership" is perhaps the most insulting sentence I have heard in recent times.

Do those that run these scams really think that the general public are taken in by this safety front that they put up.

THIEVING SCUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know of two junctions within 5 miles of my house where there are regular and severe (many fatal) accidents.

In both cases the installation of a roundabout would prevent the accidents at what are staggered crossroads onto fast and busy roads................

unfortunately for those killed at these junctions, it comes down to a straight choice, expensive roundabout, or camera that makes money instead of costing it.......hmmmmm tricky descision then...... apart from the fact that in NONE of the accidents was speed a causual factor. In SOME it was an exacerbating factor, but in NO cases did speed cause the accident.

In every case it was lack of observation, or inattention that caused the accident.....................

so what a brilliant idea, plop a scamera in there, and let it distract motorists a bit more, just on the approach to a dangerous junction where they need full attention on the road ahead in order to assess the traffic.

These scameras COST LIVES, they do not save them.

I am totally fed up with the complete bull5hit that we are fed by our government and its thieving scum quangos.

Perhaps if we persued some of the tailgating dickheads on motorways, the outside & middle lane hoggers that cause the tailgating & other generally crap drivers, like some that should perhaps be living on Costa Geriatrica, & tried educating drivers that, in fact, it's not speed that kills, but crap driving then we wouldn't even have an excuse for putting up the cash generation machines in the first place.
Tip for the Tories, if you want to win the next election then pledge to:-

1 Remove all speed cameras except from genuine, current accident blackspots

2 Build some roads in order that the populace can actually get about & be productive instead of spending half of each day sitting in a near stationary jam, & polluting the environment.

3 Remove all speed bumps

4 Complete the North & South circ such that they are actually a complete road instead of disjointed bits of single, dual & triple carriageway forming a large car park

5 Insist on all new Motorways & all Motorway repairs being built to a standard that will actually cope with the amount of traffic that uses it & impose draconian penalties on contractors that don't deliver the required quality

6 Whenever Motorways have to be repaired, as far as possible this should be done at night, where not possible repairs should be undertaken to the shortest distances & in the quickest times possible, not miles & miles of empty roadworks with not a Navvy in sight & 40mph limits to "protect the workforce" - what bl**dy workforce?

7 Have a contolling veto over who digs up local rods & when - locally we have a road which was dug up by the cable people, Water board, sewage & gas companies all within the space of 6 months.

8 Schedule roadworks so that areas within close distances aren't interfered with at the same time, we currently have roadworks on the M25, M1 & M40 all at the same time, the M1 & M40 are alternative routes for some, why work on them at the same time? Because they are controlled by different authorities - that's why.

9 Build some separate main trunk routes for trucks only & remove the trucks from some of our existing roads, if we didn't mix cars & trucks there would be far less fatal accidents & far better traffic flow for both - cars also wouldn't need to be built so heavily if they only had one another to bounce off at high speed & would be more economical

10 Stop paying lip service to being "Green" & put some incentive behind using bio based fuels which create no overall CO2 emissions

11 Get rid of catalytic converters which convert CO into CO2 (the main greenhouse gas) & don't work properly with small european cars at low temperatures on short journeys when the engines are at their most polluting. Removing CATs would make cars both lighter & more economical.Go back to "lean burn" which would make engines less polluting ALL the time not only when fully hot & would mean less fuel being used therefore less trucks transporting it etc.

the point is, we are surrounded by tossers. Just about everyone i know or see annoys me, talks c$%p or does daft things. Most drivers are cr*p. Most shop assistants are the same. I could literally make a list and pick fault with everyone alive, past and present. But how unlikely is it that i am the only unannoying person out there? Very unlikely. So i must assume that we are a race of tosspots, and i probably annoy people just as much as they annoy me, whether its me pulling out infront of them on the roads, or leaving them all weekend with no kitchen.

And so whilst speed cameras are also bloody annoying, they are merely a product of the sh*te race that we have become.

So im starting a master race soon. Want to join me? Afterall, i need someone to clean the toilets lol
