James and the British Savate Championship
Fozzie - 10/12/06 at 04:18 PM

Well, waiting with baited breath....... I was out and I got a text from James.....at 13:37 hours

It said.....

'Well I am through to the final, Now just Mickey left...........'

Then at 14:37 hours I got another text from him.......... it said......

ATB Fozzie

Edit to explain....
that 'Mickey' has always been a tough one for James, so it was always going to be a 'nail biter'............

It said.....

'Feel free to post both (messages)
Well chuffed! It wasn't pretty but it worked.
Blood (his) everywhere! Bust nose, split eye brow! Ah well ........ James'

Funnily enough Simon, I did say to James on Friday, that if needed, that could be 'Plan B' ..... LOL

I don't think he needed it though......

Well done, nice one!!

Congrats

James - 11/12/06 at 11:47 AM

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for all the congratulations!!!!!

Was a tough day but worth it in the end.

The fight got a lot more hard core than it should have done really... we were both pretty determined to win.

Embarassing bit was my balance was off and I slipped over twice and was swept over once. At one point I nearly went out the ring too as some tosser hadn't done the ropes up tight enough!

Generally didn't get too injured fortunately, knackered calf and left knee are the worst. Oh, and my teeth won't close together properly from a punch to the jaw. But other than that it's just grazes from Savate boots to the body/legs.
Oh, there's the bruised kidneys from a big kick too but they'll be ok soon!

Thanks again everyone,

Cheers,
James
