Qucik question about my contract

"you will recieve one trip home per year with 7 days per diem provided"

does this mean i get 7 days in addition to my annual leave?

Per diem usually relates to expenses / allowances. We used to give a per diem rate of £whatever to cover things like hotel, meals etc when people were working overseas

My understanding would be that you get 7 days living expenses provided - e.g. hotel, fares etc. possibly as they consider you to be away from home whilst back home if you see what I mean

I would read it to mean, that you will be given 7 days expenses at a fixed rate, to cover meals, taxis, etc whilst travelling to and from home, talking your leave. A sort of little tax free bung.

i agree i think it means ill get expenses when im on my leave
