Any reccomendations for getting an insurance quote online.
Really lookuing for one where I can put in my details once, then do a what if with different cars, without putting ALL details in again.
Reason being that after 20 years of company car driving, I've just got promoted? to a job without a car and with the opportunity of choice, I
need to find out what I can actually want to afford to insure!

You could try Confused or possibly Money supermarket
hth.
john.
^ i would say no to those two.
my dad had same situation, company car, but decided to give up the company car, and buy it. my mum did quotes on the internet. "you could save
money with confused.com"? no you couldn't!
for me, mum and dad on the car, norwich union came back at about £300, confused.com said their quote with norwich union was £600. really...
i've got my insurance through elephant.com (part of admiral), they were half the price of what norwich union (who i was with for years) had
quoted me.
I used Moneysupermarket.com and found they were the cheapest with the best quote being with Swiftcover.com. Did a quote direct through
Swiftcover's own website and got exactly the same price.
£212 fully comp on a Saxo VTR so was happy with that
I think I'm going to make a comparison website comparison website
I try screentrade, confused and moneysupermarket.
Then I rang up Admiral and they were even cheaper than any of the above suggested....
when i left my company car behind with my old job direct line gave me insurance with a letter from my old employer that i hadnt had any claims in the
last 5 years
then direct line honoured the 5 years discount
i'm now with the post office, £260 fully comp with protected nc, legal and my 26 year old gf as named driver i'm 30years old too.
I left the world of company cars 18 months ago. Bell.co.uk sorted me out.
No NCB Sir? V8 4.4 litre uber estate Sir? 20,000 Business Miles a Year? Certainly Sir!
Very happy, in fact just renewed with them.
Also, my mate used to "star" in their TV adverts (the lad in the black suit, orange shirt, going Bell.co.uk). When they said how did you
hear of us I said personal recommendation!
Cheers
Mike
If i'm looking at what car i can roughly afford to insure I use directline as you can amend the details of the vehicle without re-entering your
own details. Then used moneysupermarket.com to find cheapest quote when decided on what car to get.
Came back with morethan and swiftcover as cheapest with about a fivers difference.
Craig.
i used tesco compare i found them to be very good
Post Office site usually comes back with NU quotes much lower than NU own
