donut - 14/10/07 at 06:55 PM

As many know i have for the past 11 years been a househusband [Yay Me!] whch has on the whole been fantastic but SWMBO has sent me out to work

I have just secured a Job with the Surrey Police and start soon. I'm not going to be a police officer or one of those specials but more Admin and part time so not too bad.

So good bye easy life

Housework is NOT easy!
Sorry guys, but SWMBO has just had a total hip replacement thingy ( they wouldn't give me the gothic gear knob, but that's another story ) and I am now a house husband.
Don't get me wrong I am happy to look after her. I don't mind cooking as all the best cooks are men anyway (ducking quickly).
I don't even mind washing up.
What gets me down is; IT'S THE SAME BLOODY DISHES, TIME AFTER TIME, AFTER TIME.
It's worse than bolting wheels on a Ford's. At least they get diferent wheels.
Admit it Donut, you got a job for a break. I personally, would rather dig ditches.

Ah, I've got it! Police = donuts.
You cunning bugger.

Could you not just knock the missus up again, and then go back to being a house husband? Or get a new puppy that needs lots of looking after?

Smeone calculated a few years ago that being a housewife was worth a £75,000 salery so for a man to do it which is not the norm i'd say today is worth £90,000

It does teach you lots of different things and if a member of staff has a paddy you know how to tell them off

Change you avartar to this

Peteff - 14/10/07 at 08:32 PM

When I worked in a local foundry we had a drum of replacement hip joints arrive for scrap as they were being phased out in favour of ceramic or plastic ones. My friend Kev who had his leg off has one of the stainless plates from his old leg as a gear lever on his bike.

Hey Andy I'm a house husband too ! . and in few years I may consider going back to work as well. I reckon that building my car has been the only way to stay in touch with my inner bloke.
Good luck with the new job

It's the admin department of the Police that put all the papers together for the CPS, or are you gonna be doing worse than that?

Pat...

Whats CJSU ?

The Criminal Justice Support Unit (CJSU) is made up of support officers, police sergeants, senior management administrators and clerical officers.

Their role is to support the managers, supervisors and staff within the Criminal Justice Department. The support is in daily operational matters, and the future developments of processes and systems, the supply of management information and the provision of resources.

The unit also carries out the role of problem solving in respect of computer dysfunction. In line with this they act as a liaison for the Information Systems Department at Headquarters. The CJSU are able to deal with the minor faults and offer advice to users.

The CJSU researches the impact of new legislation, changes in working practices and advances in new technology for the whole department or units within it.

The unit also represents the force at a number of external user groups in connection with the work of the Criminal Justice Department.
