can't find about stig. can't be arse reading the whole thing tbh.

without outright saying it, what should i search for to find him?

Avoneer - 14/12/07 at 11:13 PM

Ben Collins, who worked closely with Top Gear as a high performance driver and consultant

;-)

locoboy - 14/12/07 at 11:15 PM

What happened to perry mcarthy?

zilspeed - 14/12/07 at 11:18 PM

Well, that's confirmed the worst kept secret ever then

Avoneer - 14/12/07 at 11:18 PM

He was sacked when he told everyone who he was!

Aparantly, there are a few stigs - Ben being one of them.

Pat...

Perry Mcarthy was the black stig. White stig, after the aircraftcarrier stunt, has been a few people.

locoboy - 14/12/07 at 11:38 PM

kind of makes a mockery of the 'benchmark' stig test doesnt it?

Fatgadget - 14/12/07 at 11:41 PM

The mystery seed of who the Stig really is has germinated, flourished and captured everyones imagination. I mean even if Jeremy Clarkson himself come out and said it is such and such,I will still have doubts in my mind and i won't be alone!

I find the benchmark of Top gear is more tom foolery than exacting measurments...But I still love watching it

iank - 15/12/07 at 12:09 AM

The weather conditions probably make more difference in the times to be honest (semi admitted via the 'wet lap = 4secs' thing). I expect most pro drivers would be very close in times set in any car over a circuit they've been driving a lot.

Page 6 - part 36 / 37 mentions Ben Collins - the second worst kept secret in Top Gear history!! I thought it was common knowledge he was the "primary" white stig!!!

Poor jag
Who is the stig?
Some say...

flak monkey - 15/12/07 at 12:56 PM

Something interesting which may have had some bearing on the Ascari drive:

quote:
Ben is currently racing one of three Ascari KZ1R Supercars in the new FIA GT3 European Championship with Team Damax.
