Got some time to myself and having a tidy up of the garage (inbetween phone calls asking why i'm not supporting the footy team). Found some
+90tho crossflow pistons i'd bought and forgotten about in the garage attic.
So as well as the car i'm building thats a crossflow AX block bored to +90tho, crank, rods and +90tho pistons, sump, dizzy, inlet, carb, exhaust,
oil pump i've got sat in the garage doing nothing. Oh and a standard head, 2 edis modules, 3 brake master cylinders, 1 clutch master, 2 escort
pedal boxes, 1 westfield pedal box, spare xflow engine, spare type 9 gearbox, spare axle, spare steering rack, and a 110v porting tool + carbide as
well .....
if only i was bored with nothing else to do with life i've got enough bits to make a car (or the need for a bigger garage)

great so the car will be finished for the summer easily then

what you mean start a car from scratch and finish by early summer .......... but i've been working on the other one for coming up to 8 years!!!!
couldn't do that, got to keep things in order otherwise their'd be chaos!

What's a crossflow AX block?
David
Its a block with big beefy walls that can be bored out to crazy sizes...
Are there any outward signs to tell it from a normal non AX block?

They were made in South Africa. Think they have "AX" stamped on the block.

Naah, just realised as i was tidying up that i've got enough bits for a second car!!!
Going to be contacting you in a few weeks about the roll bar. Trying to get moving on the car again. Plan for the year is to get roll bar, brakes,
rear axle sorted and chassis painted. (ie fully rolling apart from electrics.
Oh, AX block - its marked AX
I'm glad there's someone going as slowly as me
