Anyone getting an extra days pay, or, holiday for today?
I've asked, and, if I push it will be looking for another job!

Today is just another working day.
Still be Friday, be it the 29th or the 1st.
If you are paid montly, you'll have still worked the same amount of days.
Unless you are paid PCM.

Are you paid a salary? Are you paid per hour or per week?
A salary is an annual pay scheme where you are paid per year. There are 365.2422 days in a year. On average every 4 years you do 3 slightly short
years and one slightly long one.
Hourly paid workers get a weekly wage based on the number of hours worked. You got an extra day this year so your years worth of pay will be slightly
higher than other years.
If you push for this, a clever employer might suggest that years starting or ending on a weekend day have fewer working days than others and might cut
your pay to account for it.
I hear a couple of companies who are donating the equivalent of a day's pay to charity but in general I don't think anyone will take the
argument seriously - after all, who's going to pay for the extra bank holiday that is maybe being created?
Dunno about you lot, but I'm off to the bank at lunchtime to get money out so I can pay myself double today!
My even treat myself with a £ 50 bonus!

There was a bit on this on BBC News this morning Apparantley there is less working days this year than last due to the way the weekends fall with
public holidays.

I just asked my boss if we get paid extra as there's another day this year. His response was...
'No, but you don't get paid any less on the other 3 years'

Well, there isn't a day less in the previous 3 years, just one extra. Today!
I was informed by payroll this morning that its worked out on days worked and not year length. So, I asked if that meant we had an extra day off, and
was asked to leave...
I get paid every four weeks, makes not a bit of difference to me I'm pleased to say!!
Even stranger, I get paid every two weeks.
i get paid randomly, but at least i have an extra day to get this damned kitchen finished!
Actually ive bolloxed it off til monday, im having my first 'two days in a row' off this year!
