haven't had time to look in the manual ... so anyone know what it means when the lambda lamp* comes on for a about 1/2 - 1 seconds. the car feels like some one has stood on the brakes but when the lamp goes off, it is fine.

* triangle with lambda sign on it.

its most likey the sensor is needing replaced or sorted. Before removing it check that the vent hole is unblocked. It is a tiny little hole on the side that allows outside air into the sensor, if blocked it will not work properly as the sensor measures the difference between the gasses in the exhaust stream and fresh air.

lambda light isnt lambda per se, its enine management in general

most likely air mass meter , pull the codes from the reader , itll tell you what it is !
